High Wycombe, Monday 20th July. It was confirmed today that Steve Pillinger, the typesetter who went missing from the UK headquarters of Wycliffe Bible Translators in mid-April, has officially returned to work. After a three-month absence with back problems, he is now sufficiently recovered to work at least half-days. His colleagues Keir and Gillian Hansford, translators of the Chumburung Bible (Ghana), are relieved to have him back.
Dr Pillinger and his colleagues at the translation organisation regard his recovery as an answer to prayer—not only their own, but also those of many Christian supporters and friends.
Be that as it may, there now seems to be a good prospect that the Chumburung Bible will be completed by the end-of-August deadline.
Seriously: A heartfelt thank-you to everyone who has prayed for Steve during this difficult time. It’s a tremendous relief and joy to be back in the office again!
PTL you are well enough to be back in the office…….
hoping it will be full-time before too long.
Best wishes, Sal & John. Bexhill, Sussex.
Thank you so much for your prayers. Yes, I’m hoping it’ll be full-time, too. So far, so good after one day!
Yay! Back to life a little more normal (’cause lets face it, it never was that normal to start with!!). I’m very glad you’re well enough to go to work!!
Thanks! (Ironically for that left-handed compliment about my ‘normal’ life, and seriously for the congrats.)
Mmmmm, bad back … that’s what you’re telling them anyway …
Glad your back is back where it should be. Prayers that it will stay that way.

Hey, now, if you think it’s fun hanging around at home for three months, you need to see a chiropractor about your sense of fun!
Thanks for the prayers!
and I thought your dog had gone missing
Yes, the dog too.
